A. Smith Arts Management excels in bridging gaps in art projects by offering hands-on support to affiliate arts professionals, corporations, collectors, appraisers, and studio artists. Art projects typically have many moving parts and usually a few tedious or confusing tasks that hold up their completion — that’s when Ashley is brought in to assist. Her keen understanding of the importance of discretion and confidentiality in the arts industry ensures that she thrives behind the scenes, seamlessly completing tasks. As an Art Consultant based in Seattle, Washington, Ashley travels wherever her assignments take her, having worked on projects across the USA, UAE, France, and Italy. 

Prior to founding A. Smith Arts Management in 2019, Ashley amassed a decade of experience at a variety of arts institutions including Chihuly Studio, Seattle Art Museum, and the High Museum of Art - Atlanta. She also worked in art galleries in New York City and Seattle, where she stood out for her friendly and helpful demeanor. 

Ashley studied Studio Art and Art History, with a minor in Museum Studies, at Florida State University. She recently expanded her expertise with continuing education coursework in Public History, Cultural Heritage, and Appraisal Studies. As a subcontractor for fine art appraisers, she maintains USPAP compliance. 

Ashley’s clients affectionately refer to her as “Ask Ashley,” a testament to her role as a trusted confidante known for her creative thinking, broad skill set, attentive ear, openness, and unwavering enthusiasm for troubleshooting. Her ability to navigate challenges is bolstered by a robust network of dependable vendors, specialists, and resources.
